This is great bread for the whole family. Serve it to your kids as a snack or as a dessert with berries. It’s a great breakfast on the go when rushing to work or adding sweet surprise to a packed lunch.
Comments hmm my favorite recipe is from Fannie Farmer, it doesn’t call for any butter at all and only 3/4cup sugar which i’ve started cutting down. I usually use 5 bananas so it’s chunkier. I’ll def. be trying it with honey this time. Moist and flavorful. Great with a dollop of french vanilla yogurt or butter on top, although it has more than enough flavor without anything added. I was, unfortunately, almost out of honey so I substituted organic sugars( half brown and half white). It was so good that I plan on making another loaf today to freeze. Banana Bread With Honey, Oats & Walnuts
I've loved banana bread my entire life but never liked that the traditional recipe is made with a bunch of sugar and white flour. I knew that I could easily swap the refined flour for my favorite white whole-wheat flour and it works like a charm. If you need a gluten-free flour, you can try the one from Arrowhead Mills®.
I also lowered the amount of sugar in this healthier banana bread and used Greek yogurt for a boost of protein, nutrition and to keep the bread moist. You won't notice that this banana bread is lighter than any other one you've tried.
It's the New Year and everyone is wanting healthier foods and this one is perfect!Honey Greek Yogurt Banana Bread makes a great breakfast, snack or even dessert warmed up with some peanut butter on top. Since it is cold out, my daughter and I have been enjoying baking in the kitchen and I love finding a more nutritious recipe that we all love that we can make together. It doesn't have to be cookies and cakes to have fun and enjoy baking! Try this bread to help stick to your New Year's resolutions.
Banana Bread: Another Vote For Flour's Famous!

It isn't much extra work to make more so I like making extra loaves of banana bread and freezing them for a time when we want more.

Tip: using Greek God’s Greek Yogurt in the Honey Vanilla flavor allowed me to skip the addition of vanilla in my recipe and added that hint of honey sweetness, which also allowed me to cut down on the brown sugar used in the recipe. If you opt for another flavor, you may want to add a teaspoon or two of vanilla and increase the brown sugar to 3/4 cup or add 1/4 cup honey.
