Almond Bread Recipes Australia

This recipe I got from one of my aunts 'Teta Anka'. Growing upshe would make theseall the time, our entire family loved them-and there is a lot of us. These biscuits are the ones where if youtry one you just can't stop eating them, you have to have more, they are so addictive, no one can ever stop at one.

When I got married I asked for the recipe and she gave it to me, and since then I make them all the time. My kids love them, I love them, all my guests love them also.

Almond

I had previously posted this recipe on my personal Facebook page, and one of my friends had made almond bread. I remember commenting that I make those, and the reply was 'thank Teta Anka for the recipe'.

Almond & Pistachio Spice Cake

This recipe is so simple to make. You can easily double the recipe, you will just need two baking tins. I double it all the time as they last a long time in an airtight container. Having said that, they don't last very long in my house.

Are a great way to use up the yolks. If you don't feel like making the Portuguese custard tarts, simply make the custard as per recipe as it is deliciousand fill shop bought pastry cases with the cooled custard, top with fruit, easy simple dessert.

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add the caster sugar gradually-a tablespoon at a time into the egg white, beating well after each addition.

Grape And Almond Bread Parfait

Fold in the flour and the almonds. Spread into your prepared bar tin. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until just firm to touch. Place on a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled completely, wrap the almond bread up in aluminium foil and place in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. I think this helps firm up the bread for slicing. (However I have sliced it on the same day once, after being in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, and it was a little more crumbly, but it still worked.)

Using a very sharp knife or a bread knife, cut the almond bread into wafer thin slices. Place the slices on a baking paper lined baking tray, bake in a slow 160C/140C fan forced oven for20 minutes or until dry and crisp.Almond bread (almond biscotti) is Australian recipe which isn’t really a bread at all. They’d be better named as biscuits, biscotti or cookies, depending on where you live. Whatever you call them, they’re a crispy, nutty and tasty delight!

Homemade

My mother had this recipe written down on a scrap of paper, as it was given to her by a relative. Given the relative ease of researching a recipe on google, it didn’t take long for me to discover that this is an Australian recipe.

Mt Elephant Bread Mix

Almond bread and almond bread recipes are all over the internet, however, none of the photos looked like the ones my mother makes every Christmas. So you know what that means: I have to post the recipe, too! Mum also adds a little vanilla or lemon so these really are fabulous little almond biscotti!

You can make them in little loaf tins as she has, or a large loaf tin for bigger biscuits. Either way, just be sure to slice them very thinly. That’s the key to the crispy, crunchy results.

Almond

These are perfect on a holiday cookie plate, or simply wrapped up and given as a gift. Almond biscotti keep fresh for weeks, too, since they are so crisp.

The Best Almond Flour Keto Bread

FYI: unfortunately, if you’re in the US, the nuts you’re eating are probably being fumigated with a chemical. This includes almonds (which actually are not classified as nuts). The information HERE is about two years old, but I buy my nuts at Trader Joe’s to avoid the fumigated products. Hopefully you can do research to find the best ones to buy according to where you live.

Travel Update: while we’re on the subject of Australia, this is probably as good a time as any to tell you that I’ll be heading “Down Under” in February! I’m incredibly excited as I’ve never been to Australia or New Zealand before (heading to Auckland first)!

Chocolate

It was a spur of the moment decision when the Scott’s Cheap Flights email came through for a $400 mistake fare from LA to Auckland, roundtrip. So can you blame me? Anyone reading this from Auckland or Sydney, want to give me some tips? 😍
