Ingredient No Yeast Bread
It’s called Irish Soda Bread because it’s made with baking soda instead of yeast. Because of this, it’smore dense than your everyday white sandwich bread.
That’s right! This is a traditional Irish Soda Bread we’re making here. For one thing, this bread isbetter without egg and butter. Egg makes the bread less moist, and the butter made the crumb less tender (I made side by side versions just to be sure).
And this bread has enough flavour to eat plain with just lashings of butter so you don’t need extra flavourings like sugar and spices – though you can if you want.

Irish Soda bread is a mix / 10 second knead / shape / bake job. It’s very simple and quite forgiving but I do have a few tips to ensure yours is a success even if you’re a bread first timer.
As with every dough recipe, even simple No Yeast flatbreads, the exact amount of flour required will differ for everyone, even from day to day.Different flour brands, humidity, warmth, coldness of your work surface – all these impact the exact amount of flour required.
It’s better to have a stickier dough and add more flour as required, rather than a dry dough which is hard to salvage. SoI start with 1.75 cups, then measure out another 1/4 cup for dusting/kneading and just use what’s required.

How To Make Easy No Yeast Bread
So it seems we are getting to the point where it is extremely difficult to find yeast, so what’s the next best thing? Yup bread without yeast, so why not make a Sourdough Starter and while you wait until it is active enough to use, you can always make your bread and eat it too with this recipe.
My daughter has already made this bread three times and loves it. She toasts it and of course like any good Italian tops it with her favourite Hazelnut Spread.
The best thing about this bread is it’s made in one bowl, no heavy kneading needed and of course no rising time.
Easy No Yeast Beer Bread
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Then add the water and mix together, either with a fork or spatula.Sprinkle a flat surface with a little flour, place the dough on top and knead until smooth.
Gently flatten with the palm of your hand into an oval shape, then fold like an envelope. Sprinkle with flour if needed.
Bread should be cooled on a wire rack and not in the pan because the loaf will become moist, soggy, and sponge-like quite quickly, because the moisture in the pan condenses onto the bread. So be sure to immediately move the bread to a wire rack to cool.
Yeast Free Buckwheat Blender Bread

Easy Homemade Bread (no Yeast)
Traditional homemade bread uses yeast but if you don't have it or the stores are all sold out, don't fear! This delicious yeast-free bread is made using baking powder!
This bread is more like a crusty country bread than a light and fluffy sandwich bread. Of course, you can and absolutely should make sandwiches with it! And toast slathered in butter (oh my, so good.)
Make sure your baking powder is still active! To test it, add a teaspoon of baking powder to a bowl, then pour ½ cup of very hot water over it. If it bubbles heavily, the baking powder is good to go! If not, open a new can of baking powder or make a DIY version if you're in a pinch!
Healthy & Quick No Yeast Bread Recipe
The best part of this bread is how easy it is to make! With no yeast, there is no need to let the bread rise, and there is very little kneading necessary.
If you'd like to prep a few loaves ahead of time, you can freeze this bread dough for up to 3 months. Form into a disc, then wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place in an airtight freezer bag or container.
Because homemade bread does not contain preservatives, it won't last very long if left on the counter at room temperature. I typically only leave my bread out for a day. After that, store in the fridge or freezer.
No Yeast Bread Recipe
Note that the bread won't be very crusty after the first day. You can stick the loaf back in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes to get that crusty top back.
