Hi Jacqueline! Yes, it’s actually supposed to say arrowroot starch. I will correct it. So yes, please use arrowroot starch 😉 Thank you for letting me know.

Yeast

You can use powder or freshly ground psyllium husk. Decrease the amount to about 75% so instead of 14g try about 10 grams.

Easy Gluten Free Artisan Bread (no Knead, Dairy Free)

Hi Kaye! You can sub arrowroot with tapioca starch, potato starch or in a pinch if you do consume corn products I believe cornstarch could work too.

Hi! Do you have a basic white or rapid setting on your bread machine? That might work better as you only need to mix and baking this recipe. Or us a dough setting and mix the ingredients for 5 minutes then reset your bread machine to bake for 1:10 up to 1:20 minutes. If it’s still too wet decrease the liquids in the recipe. I have many new bread machine recipes in my new cookbook and a few are without yeast. I also have this recipe that could work for your mom: https:///easy-to-make-low-carb-flaxseed-bread-machine-recipe/ Simply leave out the pinch of yeast. Let me know if you have more questions. Hi Joanne! I don’t see why not. If you like walnuts, go for it! Pecans, hazelnuts, or sliced almonds would be equally tasty if you can consume any type of nuts. Ps. I froze some of the bars the last time I made a batch, and they are SO good to enjoy as a nice treat once in a while when the craving hits me. Especially if you can’t have traditional pecan bars/pie or butter tarts with gluten, sugar, eggs, dairy, etc., these maple bars are such a nice treat! If you do freeze some of the leftover bars, it’s best to thaw a little bit before eating or place the piece on a plate in the microwave for a few seconds.

Low Carb Bread (almond Flour Bread)

Hi! Thank you for trying this recipe! I am not an expert at deep frying but from my experience the oil has to be hot enough or the donuts will absorb too much oil and result in greasy and soggy donuts. Ideally 350-375°F. The temperature will drop a bit once the dough is cooking. Are you cooking on a gas or electric stove? Did you use a candy thermometer to check the temperature of the oil? I mean if yours were getting too dark too fast, lower the temperature even more next time to see if it’s better.

Hi! I haven’t made these in a while. I do have organic coconut milk (can) and could try a version without brown rice flour. Which GF flour is in your gluten-free starter? Tell me, when you bake grain-free, which ingredients can you consume? Do you eat buckwheat (pseudograin)? What about cassava flour, coconut flour, tiger nut flour, etc.? What about starches? Are you okay with potato starch and tapioca starch? Let me know so we can create a new version for you. What about sugar? Are you okay with coconut sugar or maple syrup?

Hi! Can I ask which brand of GF baking powder you tried? Is your batter too wet or not wet enough? And the apple? What kind did you use? Let me know so I can help you 😉I’ve been wanting to make a circular loaf of bread for the last few months and I’ve made about a dozen before I finally made a really delicious grain free bread recipe that is under 10 whole carbs per serving! Plus it’s paleo friendly!

Soft Gluten Free Vegan Bread Recipe

This bread is a based off of two recipes I spotted when I was in the testing phase. The first one is Dr. Bergs “Healthiest Bread in the World”. The second is from Jess at PaleoGrubs. I highly recommend checking both those recipes out!

Before I go any further, yes, I use arrowroot flour in this recipe, so that means it’s more of a low carb loaf than keto. (However the carbs are still low-ish, so if it fits your macros, go for it).. so that’s why it’s labelled “Low carb” and not keto.

HOWEVER, As Dr. Berg has mentioned, arrowroot is low-glycemic and can be used in moderation. I do understand if serious keto-ers do not want to make this recipe though.

Paleo Bread Machine Recipe {gluten Free}

If you want to try to make this keto – you can attempt to use 1.5 cups (100g) whey or pea isolate instead of arrowroot (check out my white bread recipe and see what I mean) but you’ll probably have to adjust the water to be about 1 cup (250ml)

This is SO easy to make! This video contains the recipe for a yeast bread and a baking powder bread.. both turned out wildly different so it’s up to you which one you want to make but let’s go over each loaf..

YEAST BREAD: This batch is probably my favourite out of the two. It is fluffy and browns easily in the oven. My only wish is that it would have risen a bit higher. Has a wheat bread taste to it.

BAKING POWDER BREAD: Out of the oven, this bread rose higher than the yeast bread but it didn’t brown as well. It’s also a tad bit more dense and a little less fluffy (but still fluffy)

If you like this bread, make sure to check out my keto white bread. I also made this bread into a grain free jalapeno cheddar loaf – be sure to check it out!

The perfect grain free bread to slather with butter! I used yeast to rise the loaf but baking powder also works. Takes minutes to make and no kneading needed!!

Fluffy And Crusty Gluten Free Bread

YEAST BREAD: place the dough ball into a large mixing bowl and cover with a towel or cling wrap. Place in a warm area to rise for about 30 minutes.

Bake at 400°F / 200°C for 25-30 minutes. Keep an eye on the bread and at around 20 minutes, if it's brown, cover lightly with foil so it won't burn.

BAKING POWDER: Brush with egg yolks and 'score' the top of the bread. Bake at 375°F / 190°C for 30 - 35 minutes.

This website uses cookies to improve your experience. We'll assume you're ok with this, but you can opt-out if you wish. Accept Read MoreThe base of your bread dough with this recipe will be made using a combination of almond flour and arrowroot flour. These are they key ingredients that help to keep this recipe completely paleo-friendly as they each make an excellent replacement for refined wheat flour. Not only is refined wheat a known inflammation trigger, but once the wheat grains go through the refinement process, they also lose the vast majority of their nutritional benefits. Refined flour has a much lower fiber content and loses a large percentage of the antioxidants found in whole grains. (1)

So with that in mind, the first step of this recipe is to mix your almond and arrowroot flours together with your salt and active dry yeast. With that out of the way, combine your honey and warm water in a separate bowl. Honey is another one of my favorite paleo baking ingredients, acting as a wonderful natural sweetener while also being packed full of nutritional benefits. It’s an antioxidant powerhouse that also helps to give you a nice all natural energy boost as well.

Add your honey mixture in with your flour mixture, and then also add in the lightly beaten egg whites, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar and mix them together until you have a dough-like texture. The addition of olive oil and ACV really helps to round out the nutritional content of your bread mixture. The olive oil adds a potent amount of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids, while the ACV provides some great benefits for both your cardiovascular and digestive health. (2)

Paleo Banana Bread

Once your bread dough has taken shape, you’re going to want to cover it with a plastic wrap for about 30 minutes in order to let the yeast do its thing. Then transfer it to a baking sheet, cut a few long lines along the top, and then bake the bread until it’s slightly brown. When you take it out of the oven, let it cool for a few moments and then go ahead and enjoy this delightfully flaky baked bread. Whenever I bake it, I like to either use it to make some tasty paleo sandwiches or I make it alongside a tasty homemade hummus dip. This is a game-changer for bread-lovers.

PS. This crusty French bread recipe isn’t the only type of homemade paleo bread that I love to bake. Here are a few of my other favorite paleo-friendly bread recipes that you absolutely must try:
