This Keto Bread recipe is easy to make, and turns out really well! Just follow the recipe below, and you'll be enjoying guilt-free, low-carb bread in no time. I promise you, it does NOT taste eggy like a lot of the other keto bread recipes out there.
The first thing every person new to eating low-carb wants is to find dessert and Keto bread options they love. It's an awesome idea to be prepared and to have these recipes on hand for when the cravings turn to temptations. But, it can be tough to find a bread recipe that actually turn out like they're supposed to.

I find myself disappointed often when I try Keto bread recipes. Not because I have the bar for bread set too high, but because I find most of the Keto friendly bread recipes I try don't end up like the recipe says they will.
The Best Low Carb Yeast Bread
So when I started out making this gluten free almond flour bread, I knew I wanted to test it over and over again before I put it out here for your guys to make too.
By the way, I run a Facebook group JUST for people who are doing Keto to give them tips, support, and recipes (Click HERE to join!)
When I finished creating and testing this recipe myself, I had several members from that group test out this bread to see what they thought before I posted the recipe here and it was a hit!
How To Make Keto Flaxseed Bread
The problem with most keto breads is that they are either taste like egg, or that they don't hold together. This is as close as you will come to a Keto white bread. I struggled to find a gluten free ketogenic recipe that made a good slice of bread, but didn't taste like you were eating a handful of raw egg. Finally, it was the inclusion of chia seeds that helped the bread gel together without over-reliance on the eggs.
. In fact, in all of my keto baking recipes, if I ask you to use chia seeds, they usually serve a function.
If you have a picky eater, or someone with sensory issues, consider grinding the chia seeds before adding to the keto friendly dough. You can use black chia seeds or white chia seeds (easier to hide in the bread). The chia seeds add a pleasant, crunchy texture.
Almond Flour Bread
Not all keto breads are made with the same ingredients, so it's hard to give you a universal answer. However, I can tell you what ingredients are in my low carb bread:
Step One: Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 4-cup loaf pan (8 x 4 inch) and set aside. Do not use olive oil. It will alter the taste of your keto bread.
Step 2: Mix dry ingredients in a bowl with egg and other ingredients and stir until the batter is well mixed and not lumpy. If using a food processor, be careful not to over mix.

Step 3: Pour dough into the greased loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes. Allow the bread to rest in the pan for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Remove and place on a rack to fully cool it. If you just can't wait for it, get out some butter and have at it!

Having eggs on toast…. Without the toast… just sucks! So having bread for the occasional times when needed is a real blessing.
Make sure when you make this low carb bread, that you place baking paper in the tray whilst baking. The first time I did this, was without baking paper. Trust me, this is not what you want to be scraping out of the tin. Low carb bread recipes can be quite tricky to remove from the baking tin.
Most butter found in Australia is grass fed for the majority of its life. The reason grass-fed butter has been pushed within the ketogenic community is that not many countries have access to good quality butter, and mainly rely on many grain-fed cattle from different parts of the world.
Pumpkin Seed Bread With Sunflower And Psyllium Seeds
Butter from grass-fed cows is also much higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin K2, compared to butter from grain-fed cows. As you can see, butter from grass-fed cows is a much healthier and more nutritious choice.
If you want to know more about what different types of butter are best for what, you can read my guide on butter for some clarification.

Vegan Keto Seed Bread
Hi! I’m Aaron (). I'm an Accredited Nutritional Therapist, Clinical Weightloss Practitioner and Advanced Sports Exercise Nutritional Adviser, and Author of The Keto Sweettooth CookbookI’m really excited about this recipe, because it’s taken a few days to get it right and I think I’ve finally nailed it! My first attempt actually worked out well as I added a couple of different flavours, but I wanted to introduce this unflavoured version first. I’ll post the original recipe later in the week for a different twist on it 😉
While my book features a recipe for gluten-free seedy omega-3 bread, which is simple to make and really tasty, it is nevertheless tricky to come up with a recipe for bread that’s free from ingredients like yeast, gluten and wheat, yet still looks and feels like real bread.
I used to love bread so much! My mum made amazing brown soda bread when I was growing up, which I would devour with butter and honey. But having discovered how much better I feel without gluten and yeast in my diet, I’ve had to come up with more suitable types ofbread.

Wholegrain Chia Seed Sourdough
For this low-carb chia bread, I used ground almonds, coconut flour and psyllium husks as the base in place of normal flour. The ground almonds and coconut flour are both rich in fibre, protein and healthy fats, but lower in carbs. In terms of the macros, this loaf is 11.7% protein and 9.6% carbs.
Coconut flour is just made from dried and ground coconut meat. This means that they help to satiate you for longer and prevent your blood sugar levels from spiking in the same way that regular white flour can do.
Meanwhile, psyllium husks are an amazing source of soluble fibre and absorb liquid extremely well to help keep you feeling full for longer, plus they’re also wheat and gluten free.
Keto Bread Loaf Mix
I buy psyllium husks in a health food shop, and find a bag lasts for ages as a pretty small quantity is all you generally need.
The chia seeds make a brilliant addition to the loaf. They add crunch and extra protein, fibre and minerals. But thanks to their hydrophilic properties, they absorb liquid and swell up to hold the bread together well.
The end result islight and fluffy, far easier to digest than normal bread, and has a lovely subtle nutty flavour. Plus it keeps you full for hours! It has also passed the ‘man test’…. my husband, Wes, tried a slice earlier and now half the loaf has mysteriously disappeared!
