This Low-Carb Chocolate Breakfast Bread offers two delectable recipe versions! A truly delicious + simple, no fuss variety as well as a more involved, but decadent option. The choice is yours and you can’t go wrong!
Hi Friends, today’s recipe is actually two for one! I know how challenging it can be at the moment to go out and get groceries–and sometimes a few (or many!) items are scarce. I also know that many of you are simultaneously working from home and running your own classrooms (

), so we wanted to create two versions for you– one delicious, easy peasy chocolate bread that sets up beautifully + quickly in the oven with less ingredients, and then another more involved, very decadent chocolate bread for when you happen to have the extra time and groceries on hand. And never fear, because both of them have the same, simple, super delectable icing glaze! (
Keto Chocolate Loaf Bread
I’m really looking forward to finding out which Low-Carb Chocolate Breakfast Bread version you’ll prefer! You’ll find them in the recipe area below. I love each of them for different reasons. But they’re both
•The decadent recipe involves cream cheese, Unsweetened Baker’s Chocolate in addition to the chocolate chips and cocoa powder. This version requires a longer bake and period of refrigeration after, but is incredibly decadent, gooey + fluffy.
•The easier version has cocoa powder with the option of chocolate chips and a 3rd egg for quick set up! This scrumptious bread can be served 5-10 minutes out of the oven and drizzled with glaze. It’s a sturdier bread, simple to cut–and can be, as mentioned above, enjoyed fresh from the oven. It is also SO delicious.
Ingredient Chocolate Bread (no Butter Or Oil)
They’re both genuinely wonderful (safe answer, I know!), but I would say the easy bread is more in-tune with your typical breakfast and the decadent bread is more of a “dessertish” breakfast–like a loaded Belgian Waffle. But you know best, whichever seems like a winner to you.
*This recipe has 2 versions below–a deliciously no fuss “easy version” + our more gooey, “decadent version”. Both are super chocolatey and scrumptious, choose what works for you!

Here’s what you need: almond meal or almond flour, cocoa powder, granulated sweetener of choice, baking powder, pure vanilla extract, regular or Greek yogurt (nondairy if desired), salt, eggs or flax eggs, water, and optional chocolate chips.
I recommend using a fourth cup of regular unsweetened cocoa powder and two tablespoons of Dutch cocoa powder. Dutch process cocoa gives chocolate baked goods a deep brownie flavor.
Sweetener options include xylitol, granulated erythritol, a monk fruit blend like Lakanto, or regular sugar or coconut sugar if you are not on a no sugar diet.
Chocolate Chip Keto Banana Bread
I have not tried substituting regular flour or coconut flour for the fine almond meal or flour. Almond meal is very different from both white flour and coconut flour, so the recipe may turn out very differently with one of these substitutions.

Once you know how it should turn out, feel free to experiment with changes. You may come up with a new favorite!
I also highly recommend adding a piece of parchment paper to the bottom of the pan, because it makes it much easier to pop the loaf out cleanly after baking.

In a large mixing bowl, stir all dry ingredients together. Whisk in the wet ingredients to form a batter. The recipe is gluten free, so there’s no need to worry about overmixing.
Smooth the chocolate batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle on some mini chocolate chips, sugar free chocolate chips, or shredded coconut if you wish.
Bake the chocolate loaf in the oven for fifty five minutes. Let it cool completely before going around the sides of the pan with a knife and inverting the cake onto a plate.
Flourless Chocolate Almond Butter Bread (keto + Paleo)
After a day, store any leftovers in a covered container for up to four days. Due to the perishable ingredients, I store mine in the refrigerator for freshness.
Or slice the healthy keto chocolate bread and store in an airtight covered container in the freezer, with a layer of parchment or wax paper in between slices.

180 grams almond flour, 160 grams yogurt, 100 grams granulated sweetener, 20 grams unsweetened cocoa powder, 10 grams Dutch cocoa powder, 10 grams pure vanilla extract, 150 grams eggs or flax eggs, and 60g water.

Low Carb Chocolate Breakfast Bread
Yes! Even though it is best to use drank chocolate that contains a minimum of 70% cocoa solids, or even more. The higher the content of the cocoa solids, the less sweet it is, which also has fewer carbs. One ounce (28 grams) of unsweetened chocolate, which is basically 100% cocoa, contains about 3 grams of net carbs.
This recipe is already great to serve as is since it is quite filling and satisfies the sweet tooth. However, you can add some topping on it to make it more flavorful. Some suggestions are:
Wrap it with plastic or cover it with foil, this way the bread will last longer and not dry out as fast. At room temperature, it will last for up to 3-4 days. Similarly, you could wrap it, and then refrigerate it for up to 7 days. If refrigerated, try heating it up in the microwave for about 10 seconds, it will make it moist and tender.
